Overview

As a Design Engineering Intern at the Indochina Starfish Foundation (ISF Cambodia), I contributed to the organization’s mission of providing education and community support to under-resourced youth in Phnom Penh. My work centered on building digital tools and interfaces that enhanced accessibility, streamlined operations, and empowered ISF staff to make data-driven decisions in real time.

Design Systems & Workflow Innovation

I led the design and prototyping of cross-departmental dashboards and internal workflow systems using Figma, Airtable, and front-end development tools. My focus was on creating intuitive, visually clear layouts that simplified data entry, tracking, and reporting for multiple departments.

By integrating HTML/CSS interfaces with Airtable’s backend, I built a dynamic reporting system that allowed staff to visualize key metrics instantly—reducing administrative workload and improving coordination across education, health, and community programs.

Human-Centered Impact & Accessibility

Working within a cross-cultural, non-profit environment, I learned to design with empathy and clarity. Every prototype and interface prioritized accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring usability for team members with varying levels of technical familiarity.

Through iterative testing and feedback, I helped transform ISF’s internal operations into a more data-informed, efficient, and collaborative ecosystem—directly supporting its mission to improve education access and community development in Cambodia.
